Iconic Red Cherry Bakelite Necklace C.1930 003788

Rare iconic red Bakelite cherry necklace with green celluloid leaves.
Such necklaces were a popular fashion accessory during the 1930s.

The main attraction of the necklace 
is red Bakelite cherries and green celluloid leaves
hung on red celluloid chain.

The necklace is 19 inches long.
The cherries are approx. 21 mm.
The leaves are approx. 23 X 13 mm
The dangles with cherries are approx. 2" long.
The celluloid chain is 10 mm wide.
Brass chain was added to extend the length of the necklace.

The necklace closure is an old-style brass bolt clasp (no pin for thumb).

Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
The green layer on the stems is missing in a few spots.
