Trifari Philippe Book Piece Sapphire Glass Diamante Necklace Earrings Set C.1950

Rare Trifari by Alfred Philippe sapphire glass cabochons
and diamante pave jewelry set, 
featuring a necklace and clip earrings from the 1950s. 
The set shown on a Jewels by Trifari catalog cover 
shown on page 142 of the book 
"Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" by Lulia C. Carroll.

The rhodium-plated necklace measures 16 1/4 inches in length, 
including a 2 3/4-inch extender chain. 
Its links showcase translucent sapphire glass cabochons, 
measuring 16 X 12 mm, which are set in an open-back mount 
with a foliage design, adorned with sparkling diamante pave. 
Each link measures 26 x 16 mm. 
The closure is a hook marked with the TRIFARI with crown
and a copyright symbol ©.

The matching clip earrings measure 22 x 18 mm 
and are also stamped with the TRIFARI name 
and a copyright symbol ©.

Overall, the set is in very good condition for its age, 
with some diamante have darkened over time.
