Elegant Victorian starburst locket pendant 
crafted in 14K/18K gold, circa 1890.

The front of the locket showcases gold rods 
arranged in a starburst pattern 
against a textured checkered background, 
adorned with a halo of Persian turquoise 
sugar loaf gemstones encircling a natural pearl 
set in a distinctive bezel at the center. 
The back of the locket also features a textured checkered design.

The entire pendant measures 57 mm in height, 
including the bail and ring, 
while the locket itself is 40 mm tall and 32 mm wide. 
The turquoise halo has a diameter of 10 mm, 
and the natural pearl measures 3.5 mm.

There are no hallmarks present. 
The thick upper layer of the locket has been tested and confirmed 
to be 18K gold, with a base of 14K gold
(a small area of 18K gold layer inside the locket 
has been intentionally rubbed out for testing purposes
sometime in the past).
The total weight of the piece is 9.9 grams.

Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
