Amazing large salmon coral brooch from early 1900's.
Painstakingly hand carved peach fruit. The peach is carved in traditional Chinese technique from a large piece of salmon coral. Contrary to usual coral appearance this masterpiece shows a very few minor and insignificant imperfections.
The coral sits on custom made sterling frame with beautiful openwork leaf pattern.
The clasp is CC type.
The brooch measures 2 3/8" X 1 5/8", weighs 35.3 grams.
