One of a kind antique Chinese silver charm chain necklace C.1890. The necklace is 17" long.
The necklace designed as a collection of Chinese charms hung on sterling chain necklace.
The central pendant (#3) is approx. 3 1/2" long 1 3/4" wide. The main section boasts elaborate open work repousse and multiple dangles including hand carved mutton fat jade and silver charms. The central pendant attached to the chain with closed hook clasp.
The other charm dangles on the necklace measure: 1. Repousse silver fu dog 1" X 7/8". 2. 3 1/4" dangle with carnelian bead and a silver repousse lucky animal charm 1 5/8" X 3/4". 4. 1 5/8" X 1 3/16" pierced nut in silver charm. 5. 1 7/8" X 5/8" silver repousse lucky animal charm.
The bolt ring clasp and the central pendant clasp stamped STERLING. The chain tested sterling, 5 pendants are lower carat silver. Total weight is 69 grams.
Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.
