Antique Georgian gold watch chain necklace centered on an expressive dragon-form hook, finely chased and engraved throughout, with clearly defined head, eye, crest and scaled body.
The dragon hook is an unusually large and decorative example, executed as a full sculptural figure and intended as the visual focus of the chain.
The necklace is fitted with a round fancy filigree link chain, terminated with decorative floral end caps in a rococo taste, and completed with a substantial dog clip clasp.
