Rare, highly sought after Georgian 14K gold snake chain necklace
with eagle head end, repousse J-hook, and old style dog clip clasp with swivel.

The whole necklace is 15 1/4 inches.
It is 2.5 mm wide.
Ther are no hallmarks, all tested 14K gold.
Total weight is 16.8 grams.

Sophisticated and very flexible snake chain terminated
with ornate ends.
Double sided repousse and hand engraved eagle head end
is finely crafted with minute details.
It measures 19 mm (3/4") long, 7.5 (5/16") tall, 6.5mm (1/4") wide.
The other double sided scrolled repousse end
is 18 mm (11/16") long, 9 mm X 6 mm across.

Intricate stylized snake repousse J-hook with swivel ring
is 31 mm (1 3/16") long, 12 mm (7/16") wide.

The large old style dog clip clasp with swivel ring
is 23 mm (7/8") long, 7.5 mm (5/16") wide.
The latch turns open on the hinge
and locks close with the knurled threaded nut.

Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.

There is one spot on the chain with signs of repair,
that does not affect the look, flexibility, and durability of the chain.
