This is a wonderful example of fashion French jewelry dated late 18th early 19th century.
The main attraction of the necklace is well crafted delicate open work silver pendant. The St. Esprit (The Holy Ghost) is 33 mm X 33 mm. It is dangles under the bow and adding movement to the necklace. The whole pendant sparkles with multitude of well preserved closed back glass pastes. The pendant measures 63 mm high 39 mm high.
Original chain is 21 1/2" long.
The necklace tested silver. Total weight is 23 grams.
Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.
