Statement Chinese jade swag necklace from Art Deco period.
We collect antique jade jewelry for many years and have never seen a necklace of such magnitude.
Gilded brass fancy link chain around neck with push-in clasp,
8 embossed gilded brass chain swags are suspended from the neck chain
and support huge carved red jade center piece.
Hundreds of wired apple green jadeite jade beads are hung on the links shaking with every movement.
Larger apple green and carved carnelian beads are at the very bottom of the necklace.
The carnelian beads color is matching well with color of the red jade plaque in the center.
The plaque is carved and pierced with bats, a traditional Chinese Ru Yi,
a symbol of power and a good fortune.
It is prong set on the frame to which swags are connected.

The jeweled push-in clasp is custom made for the necklace.

The neck chain is 14" around neck, 3/8" wide

The necklace is 6" wide in the center

Red jade plaque is 2 1/4" X 1 5/8"

Large apple green beads are 3/8", small 3/16"

Carved carnelian beads are 7/16"

Prong set carved carnelian push-in clasp is 5/8"

The necklace is heavy, weighing more that 200 grams.
