Splendid English gold with pearls and peridot pendant
created with a precise craftsmanship characteristic to the period.
Well matching seed pearls are set on the border of the pendant and on the bail.
The center is accented with faceted peridot and floral motif filigree
decorations with seed pearls and 4 larger pearls.
The time when this beautiful pendant was made is very special for the jewelry making.
It was the ending of the Victorian period with it’s love of symbolism. The next period
was Edwardian. Art Nouveau style began at the end of Victorian period and continued on to Edwardian time. 
Art Nouveau characterized with it’s precise craftsmanship, love for pearls and colorful gemstones.
Peridot is bearing a meaning of lightness and beauty. And the pearls are promoting peacefulness
and bring purity, honesty, and integrity.

The bail is large enough for a chain or seed pearl necklace.

The peridot has some light scratches, which are visible with magnifying glass.

The bail is stamped 15 C.

The pendant is 1 9/16” long, just over 1” wide.
