This rare pin is an emblem of Shriners Society.
The top of the pin is a sterling scimitar's blade
with 10K gold hand carved handle and the center embellishment.

The dangle shaped as a crescent with 5-point star
hanging between crescent's tips.
The crescent is comprised two claws connected 
with hand engraved gold center.
The latter has a hand carved red jasper Sphinx face.
It is wearing a white enamel head dress.

The 5-point star embellished with blue enamel
and letters ALLAH on it.
The star is the symbol of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The upright center star is faceted.

The whole pin is 30 mm high, 
The scimitar is 31 mm wide.
The dangle with clows is 23 mm X 21 mm.

Total weight is 4.1 grams.
There are no hallmarks, tested 10K gold and sterling

Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
Enamel on the blue star is partially restored
which is visible only with a magnifying glass.

Shriners International, also commonly known as

The emblem is usually attached on the front of the fez.
The scimitar stands for the backbone of the fraternity, its members.
The two claws are for the Shriners fraternity and its philanthropy.
The sphinx stands for the governing body of the Shriners.
The five-pointed star represents the thousands of children 
helped by the philanthropy each year.
