The buckles in jewelry represented unbreakable strength
of upholding loyalty and memory since beginning of times..
It is especially true for Victorian period as Queen Victoria loved symbolism in jewelry.

Presented brooch is masterfully hand carved from agate in Scottish tradition.
It is designed as stylized agate belt with brass buckle
placed on the top of oval beveled agate plaque.

The brooch measures 1 13/16" X 1 5/16".

The whole brooch is authentic. It is assembled with brass rivets
which are slightly loose but still hold the brooch together securely.

We cleaned the brooch superficially and did not polish it additionally
to preserve its authentic look.
Brass covered with antique patina.

Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
