Beautiful Etruscan revival 15k gold malachite brooch C. 1880.

Domed top adorned with gold granulation and malachite bar pierced through the dome.
2 malachite balls suspended on fox tail chains.

The brooch is 1 5/8" tall, 1" wide.

There is no hallmarks, tested 15K gold.
total weight is 7.6 grams.

C clasp with tubular hinge is appropriate for Victorian period.

One malachite ball has tiny hole on its south pole.
It is plugged with some material, maybe cork, at the time of making.

We wanted to preserve the brooch's antique look and cleaned it only superficially.

Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.
