A cute vermeil silver frog brooch with Persian turquoise body and garnet eyes.
Frog is symbol of happiness, prosperity, friendships, abundance.
The brooch is handmade and well detailed,
embellished with prong set turquoise cabochons.
The eyes are made with garnet cabochons.
The brooch measures 1 3/16” long, 15/16” wide.
There is a hallmark which we could not make out.
It is tested at least 800, total weight is 4.9 grams.
C clasp with tubular hinge is appropriate for Victorian brooch.
Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
