Delicate and beautiful Jugendstil Plique-A-Jour sterling pendant C.1900.
Jugendstil, also known as the German Art Nouveau style,
was an influential artistic movement that emerged
in the mid-1890s and lasted until around 1910.
The pendant's red, blue, yellow, and green Plique-A-Jour patterns
represent ancient Egyptian theme with lotuses.
The sterling frame continues Egyptian revival motif.
The whole pendant is 3 1/8 inches (80 mm) long
28 mm wide including the bail.
Articulated dangles are 35 mm long.
The back stamped STERLING and maker's mark PM in the lozenge.
Total weight is 7 grams.
Excellent antique condition.
