Rare and beautiful Victorian 14K gold garnet pearl starburst dangle earrings C.1860. They are approx. 1 1/2" (38mm) long.
The earrings feature elongated dangles with large garnet cabochons and a hand carved 8-point starburst with a pearl in the center mounted on the top of the garnet. The latter is set in the filigree bezel surrounded with hand carved crowns with pearls.
The upper parts of the dangles adorned with gold filigree and pellets. The dangles suspended from original Rococo tops with shepherd hook clasps.
The earrings are approx. 1 1/2" (38mm) long. with dangles 28 X 17 mm, 10 mm deep. The garnet cabochons are 11 X 8 mm.
There are no hallmarks, tested 14K gold total weight is 9 grams.
