Stunning purple star sapphire 14K gold ring size 5 3/4 C.1940.
The natural purple star sapphire gemstone is 11 mm diameter, 5.5 mm high, approx. 2.0 CW. It shows clearly 6-point star asterism with a spotlight.
The gemstone is prong set over hand cut openwork 5.5 mm high crown making the whole center raise 11 mm over the finger. The ring size is 5 3/4, the band is 2.5 mm wide.
The ring stamped 14K. Total weight is 4.4 grams.
Excellent vintage condition. There is appropriate to age wear on the gemstone visible with high magnification.
