Collectable very rare 9K gold stick pin
with a fox head painted on porcelain
by William Bishop Ford C.1870

William Bishop Ford (1832 - 1922) the famous artist
was active/lived in United Kingdom.
The fox is painted with great care to detail
and looks like a live animal with personality.
It is mounted in close back bezel embellished
with Etruscan style granulation.
The head of the pin is 23 mm across.
The whole pin is 2 7/8" long.
Ther are no hallmarks, tested 9K gold.
Total weight is 5.7 grams.
The pin is attributed to William Bishop Ford.
The back of the porcelain plaque is possibly signed
but can be observed due to close back construction
of the pin.
Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.
Gold covered with beautiful antique patina.
