Stunning Chinese export salmon coral sterling necklace and earrings set C 1920.
5 salmon coral plaques are prong set in custom made sterling frames. The plaques are meticulously hand carved with centuries old traditional Chinese fruit and leaves motif. They are connected with 3 swags of strung coral beads. The back of the necklace has 2 swags.
The necklace is 17" around neck. Front plaque measures 1" X 7/8" The 2 middle plaques are approx. 1 1/8" long, the 2 top ones are approx. 3/4" long.
One of the top stations serves as a hidden push-in clasp.
Matching clip-on earrings are approx. 1 1/8" long, 5/8" wide. The coral plaques are also intricately carved and pierced with flowers. There are 3 dangles with wired salmon coral beads.
The clips are stamped STERLING. Total weight of the set is 38.8 grams.
