Gorgeous Edwardian 14K yellow gold, amethyst, and natural pearls ring by renowned Victorian and Edwardian jewelry maker Krementz C.1900.
The ring size is 6 3/4.
The main attraction of the ring is large, faceted amethyst of vivid purple color surrounded by a halo of natural pearls. The amethyst is mounted in prongs and measures approx. 18 X 15 mm 8 mm deep which estimates to approx. 12 carats. The pearls are 2.2 mm across making the face of the ring 23 X 19.5 mm.
The ring is sitting 10 mm high over a finger. Beautifully crafted band is 3.5 mm wide at the embellished top and 1.5 mm wide in the back.
The hallmarks were polished off illegible before we acquired the ring. We attributed the ring to Krementz. The ring tested 14K gold. Total weight is 7.9 grams.
