Vauxhall glass jewelry originated at Vauxhall Glassworks in London in 1770’s and made its way from end of Georgian period to the end of Victorian period. It was of different colors backed with reflective surface, either silver for lighter colors, or black enamel for black jewelry.
The offered Vauxhall earrings are very large, triangle in shape. It is hard to find Vauxhall glass jewelry in such a great original condition. They are 3 ¾” long. The dangles are 2 13/16” high, 2 3/16” wide. The earrings are assembled on brass frame covered with black enamel.
Two semi-spheres at the top on the back and shepherd hooks are made of 9K gold.
Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.
