Rare and fabulous choker necklace by Frank Hess for Miriam Haskell C. 1930.
It is 14" long plus 2" extender with silver metal fluted beads. Dimensional central piece is 2 1/4" X 1 1/8" comprised of embossed silver metal and brass leaves, sapphire glass, montees, faux pearls, all wired to filigree back.
The necklace, consisting of 14 silver metal and brass flowing chains of different styles, terminated with filigree jeweled ends and J hook clasp.
The necklace is unsigned. It is very similar to one shown on page 169 of the book Miriam Haskell Jewelry by Cathy Gordon and Sheila Pamfiloff.
There is some wear on the chains. The pearls partially lost their luster. There are no missing parts, no repairs.
