Mesmerizing huge vermeil gold (on silver) enamel cross from Austria C. 1900.
The cross strikes by its size, 125 mm (4 7/8") high, 72 mm (2 3/4") wide, and beautiful enamel work, citrine and amethyst pastes, and pearls set on the intricate filigree body. The cross has articulated top which is part of the cross' design.
The cross pendant can be worn on a chain or a ribbon.
The cross tested silver. It weighs 33.8 grams.
There is a stamp AUSTRIA on the back of the cross.
Very good antique condition commensurate with age. There are a few small chips on enamel and fleabite chips on stones.
