Extremely rare Imperial Russian niello silver locket,
made circa 1910 by silversmith КФ (K.F.),
likely Konstantin Fyodorov or Konstantin Frolov,
active in the Moscow / Upper Volga region.

Niello is an ancient technique of inlaying engraved silver
with black alloy for striking decorative contrast.
This locket is fully covered with a fine checkered niello pattern
on both sides — a design typical of Moscow niello work
from the Fabergé period.

Size: 24 mm diameter (just under 1 inch),
27 mm high including the bail.
Interior retains two bezels,
with one original glass still intact.

Inside are several Imperial Russian hallmarks:
– Maker’s mark “КФ” in a rounded-rectangular cartouche,
attributed to Fyodorov / Frolov workshop.
– Kokoshnik head facing right with 84 silver standard,
dating 1908–1926.
– On the bail, traces of an additional kokoshnik control mark,
applied after soldering — confirming authentic
Imperial assay procedure.

Total weight: 5.9 grams.

Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
Silver displays a beautiful, natural patina.
