Rare Georgian 14K gold snake hook clasp
for a chain necklace, circa 1820.

The hook features an exquisite rattle snake design,
with the body of the serpent forming
the entire hook and bail.

The hook measures 33 mm (1 5/16")
in length and 13.5 mm in width.
The inner diameter of the bail is 5.5 mm.

There are no hallmarks,
acid tested 14K gold.

The total weight is 3.1 grams.

Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.
