This Art Deco platinum diamond duette fur clip bow brooch
is a stunning piece of jewelry from Art Deco era (1920s-1930s).
The whole body of the brooch designed as a bow encrusted
with pave set diamonds.
The brooch can be worn as a single piece or as two separate clips.
The origin is probably France.
The diamonds are set in a pave setting, creating a bright sparkling effect.
The brooch as one-piece measures 72 X 36 mm (2 7/8" X 1 7/16").
Two main brilliant cut diamonds
are approx. 5.6 mm diameter, which is approx. 0.65 CT each.
Both have clarity approx. VS1-VS2, one is of color grade F,
the other G.
There are also 2 channels with baguette diamonds
on the scroll sections of the bow.
All the diamonds weigh approx. 8 - 8.60 CTW.
The brooch can be taken apart in two separate fur clips
by sliding them out along the rail with secure C-clasp.
The resulting 2 fur clips are 52 X 36 mm (2 1/16" X 1 7/16").
There is a safety loop to hold the clips together.
Besides, sharp needle ends of the clips are covered
with hinged snap-on plates. This also serves as a security latch.
There are no hallmarks.
The brooch tested platinum.
The C-clasp latch is made of platinum plated 14K gold.
The whole brooch weighs 44.6 grams.
Excellent antique condition.
