Exquisite antique Georgian 14K gold boar's head flat snake watch chain necklace with hook, bolt ring clasp and 2 fobs C.1820.
The necklace is 14" end to end. The flat snake chain is 7 mm wide.
The main attraction of the necklace is the beautifully rendered double sided boar head figurine 26 X 16 mm. The hook with a latch and swivel ring is 28 X 12 mm. It is connected to the figurine with 9.5 mm split ring. The hook stamped with a maker's mark ZH.
There are 2 chased fobs hung from the hook. One is 30 X 8 mm watch key. The other fob is 25 X 11 mm and has a dark red garnet cabochon at the bottom. The fobs tested 10K gold.
The other end of the chain terminated with a nice 3-D decoration with attached large 10 mm bolt ring clasp. The bolt clasp stamped 14K.
The chain, the figurine, and the hook tested 14K gold. The fobs tested 10K gold. Total weight is 30 grams.
Very good antique condition commensurate with age. Gold covered with beautiful antique patina appropriate for 200 years old jewelry. The chain lays nice and flat when is on one's neck while can look a bit bent and wavy when held in hands. There is one small decorative side tube is missing on the snake chain next to the boar's head. This does not affect the chain's durability.
