Rare and sought after Georgian/Victorian snake watch chain necklace with Argali the mountain sheep figurine C.1830.
12K gold tassel is 37 mm long 7 mm wide. 10 fox tail chains are approx. 26 mm long.
The floating pinchbeck snake chain terminated with the mountain sheep head figurine on one side and a chased cap with the hook clasp on the other. The chain is 4 mm across.
Beautifully rendered gold filled or pinchbeck double-sided figurine of Argali the mountain sheep is 23 mm high 22 mm across.
The hook clasp is 33 mm X 16 mm.
The whole necklace is 14 1/4" long. Total weight is 29.2 grams.
3 bulbs on the tassel chains are missing. Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
