Rare antique Chinese enamel silver wedding long dangle earrings
from Qing Dynasty C.1890.

The earrings are made of chased silver and comprised of 3 sections.
The bottom 2 sections are double sided.
Blue and white enamel depicts a bird on the upper section.
In China a bird is a symbol a young man approaching his love.
The middle section depicts a bat, meaning good luck,
and the lower section has a bat, coins for prosperity,
and fruit for fertility.

The earrings are quite long, 3 1/4".
The top section is 19 mm X 21 mm,
the middle is 13 mm X 10 mm,
and the bottom is 35 mm X 18 mm.

It appears that the earrings originally had screw back clasps
which were replaced with sterling hooks stamped 925.
The earrings were tested silver.
Total weight is 17.5 grams.

The earrings come with original box.

Very good antique condition commensurate with age.
Silver covered with antique patina.
There is minor loss of enamel, which does not affect
the great look and value of the antique piece.
