Rare and highly sought after well-crafted Georgian textured 14K gold longuard muff necklace C.1820.
It is 60 inches long and can be wrapped 3 times around a neck. The links are 7.5 mm round 3.5 mm wide. The Etruscan revival filigree clasp adorned with 4 natural turquoise cabochons. The clasp is 20 mm long 10 mm across. The necklace weighs 45.6 grams.
The necklace tested 14K gold. The tongue of the clasp stamped 585 (European) for 14K gold.
The necklace with the clasp is all original. There are no repairs or replacements.
Excellent antique condition commensurate with age. There are several slightly compressed links, which does not affect great look and value of the chain (see the last picture).
