Very rare and sought after hand carved labradorite monkey pendant
from Georgian period on gold filled chain necklace.
Monkey in jewelry symbolizes entertainment and joyfulness
as well as deep knowledge and intelligence.

Masterfully carved high relief labradorite monkey face
has a mesmerizing color play in shining light.
It is set in 9K gold bezel.
The whole pendant is 23 mm high including the jump ring
the bezel is 16.5 X 14 mm.

The gold filled chain is 15 1/4" long including the dog clip clasp.
The latter has a swivel ring
and measures 17.5 X 6 mm.
The chain is not tarnished at all,
its color matches well with the pendant's gold bezel.

There are no hallmarks.
The pendant tested 9K gold.
It weighs 3.4 grams.
The gold filled chain is 10.8 grams.
