hand-carved jadeite jade pendant
dating to circa 1950.

The openwork (pierced) jadeite jade plaque
depicts the traditional Chinese motif of
Three Auspicious Children among
peony blossoms, symbolizing
family harmony, prosperity,
and many descendants.

Mounted in a 14K yellow gold frame
with an ornate stylized bat-form bail,
a traditional Chinese symbol
of good fortune.
