Rare early Victorian 14K gold angel skin coral cameo 
dangle earrings C.1840.

The earrings' main attraction is the teardrop shape dangles
with well detailed hand carved bezel set angel skin coral cameos.
There are engraved leaves above and below the cameos
surrounded with cannetille ornament and intricate filigree embellishments.
The repousse tops with early Victorian British front closure
complete beautiful design of the earrings.

The earrings are 45 mm high with 30 X 16 mm teardrop dangles.
The cameos are 14 X 10 mm.

There are no hallmarks, acid tested more than 14K gold
(It looks more like 15K gold, which corroborates
with suggestion of British origin).
Total weight is 6.5 grams.

Excellent antique condition commensurate with age.
