Antique Victorian 14K Gold Enamel Slide Guard Chain C.1890

Very rare 14K yellow gold guard slide chain with enameled slide C.1890.

The main attraction of the chain is the slide with cobalt blue champleve enamel
floral whiplash pattern on one side
and orange flower on the other.
The slide measures 13.5 mm long, 12 mm wide, 4.5 mm thick.
Unlike on most antique slide chains, this slide stays on where it is been pulled to.

The chain is 30" total. It ends with a dog clip clasp stamped 14.
The clasp is 16 mm long.

Total weight is 14.6 grams.

Excellent antique condition.

The yellow side has a few smallest superficial chips which
are inconspicuous unless viewed with magnifying glass.
