Georgian 9K Gold Carved Red Coral Hand Fist Pendant Bead Necklace

The main attraction of this necklace is an antique Georgian pendant.

It is finely hand carved from red salmon coral and
depicts a hand fist holding a ring
with six carved coral good luck charms.

The wrist of the hand is decorated with a bracelet
set with a bezel-set turquoise cabochon.

The hand pendant measures 21.5 × 9 mm.
The hand terminates with a gold cap at the top.

The charms include:

• horse whip — 21 mm long
• brush — 20 mm long
• bellows — 15 mm long
• riding boot — 10 mm long
• cornucopia — 19 mm long
• pitcher — 18 mm long

Total pendant length: approximately 2 inches,
including the 10.5 mm diameter gold split ring.

There are no hallmarks.
Gold tested as 9K.

The woven red coral bead necklace is a later addition.

It is 17 inches long and made of
hand-cut and well-polished beads woven on red thread,
forming a substantial round rope graduating in thickness
from 10 mm in the center to 6 mm at the ends.

The beads are made of natural undyed red coral
and range from 4.5 mm to 3 mm.

Gilded brass spring ring clasp, 6.5 mm diameter.

Total weight of the necklace: 29.8 grams.

There are small natural imperfections.
Faint natural growth lines (“fingerprints”)
can be seen on some beads and charms.

Excellent condition commensurate with age.
