Rare Georgian gilded brass hook clasp
with a split ring for a chain necklace, circa 1820.

The elegant hook features a finely detailed
foliate design at the top.

The hook measures 36 mm (1 7/16")
in length and 13.5 mm in width.

Original split ring measures
10.5 mm in diameter.

The clasp is crafted from gilded brass
with an antique yellow gold finish.

There are no hallmarks,
