Luxurious Victorian 10K gold Y-shaped necklace 
featuring a panther link chain, circa 1870. 

The chain measures 5 mm in width 
and has a circumference of 19 1/2 inches around the neck, 
with a central drop of 3 1/2 inches. 

The design converges at a prominent connector ring 
with a diameter of 13 mm (1/2 inch). 
The chain's ends are adorned with four intricately chased 
double-sided elements, each embellished 
with well-preserved black enamel. 
These ends measure 15 mm in length and 8 mm in width. 

The dog clip clasp is 17.5 mm (11/16 inch) in length 
and 6.5 mm (1/4 inch) in width. 

There are no hallmarks present, 
aside from a maker's mark "B.G" on the clasp. 
Both the chain and its components 
have been tested and confirmed as 10K gold. 

The total weight of the necklace is 29.3 grams. 

It is in very good antique condition.
