Classic 7 days of the week Roman Gods bracelet
with hand carved carnelian shell cameos in 14K gold C.1880
in excellent condition.

Beautifully carved cameos represent 7 Grecian or Roman gods riding in chariots:

• Monday – Artemis (Diana), Goddess of hunt, in chariot pulled by slaves
• Tuesday – Ares (Mars), God of war, in chariot pulled by stallions
• Wednesday – Hermes (Mercury), Messenger of Gods and God of commerce,
in chariot pulled by roosters
• Thursday – Zeus (Jupiter), King of Gods, in chariot pulled by swans
• Friday – Aphrodite (Venus), Goddess of beauty and love, in chariot pulled by doves
• Saturday – Cronus (Saturn), God of Time, in chariot pulled by winged snakes
• Sunday – Apollo, God of sun, art, and music, in chariot pulled by 4 horses (quadriga)

The cameos are set in seven 14K gold bezels links measuring 25 mm X 20 mm.
The whole bracelet is 8” long.

The push-in clasp with safety loop works well.

The tongue of the clasp stamped 585 European for 14K gold.
Total weight is 20.8 grams.
