Captivating Victorian handcrafted 9K gold jewelry ensemble featuring earrings and a ring adorned with natural opals with great color play.
The ring is sized at 5 1/4 and showcases a central oval opal cabochon measuring 8 X 5 mm. It produces red sparkles play against changing light. The central opal encircled by a halo of smaller opals. The filigree top of the ring measures 14.5 X 12.5 mm and is elevated 8.5 mm above the finger, with a fluted band that is 2 mm wide.
The elegant articulated earrings are 46 mm in length, with the lower section echoing the ring's design and measuring 13.5 X 12 mm. The upper part features hook clasp and embellished with an opal cabochon set in an 8 mm diameter filigree bezel. The intermediate section includes three opals and measures 19 mm in length.
There are no hallmarks. Acid tested 9K gold. Total weight is 6.9 grams.
Very good antique condition commensurate with age. There are a few chips on smaller opal gemstones.
