Presented is a beautiful brooch by Theodor Fahrner.
It is a great representation of German Jugendstil (Art Nouveau in French).
It was made approximately in 1900 -1910.
The brooch designed as a top piece with 5 articulated dangles.
The top has 3 leaf like ornaments on black enamel background
embellished with hand milgrain and glittering
bead and bright set marcasite (pyrite) stones.
The top is 35 mm wide, 20 mm high.
2 teardrop dangles are of a similar design to the top.
They are 32 mm long 8.5 mm wide.
The other 3 dangles are 18 mm and 14 mm long.
They have vivid color elongated chrysoprase cabochons
set in open back bezels.
The whole brooch is 55 mm high.
The brooch is hallmarked with Theodor Fahrner's logo
and number 800 for silver purity.
Total weight is 12.3 grams.
Excellent antique condition.
Silver covered with beautiful antique patina.
